Top Ten Beauty Hacks from Keira Rumble

Life can be so incredibly busy and fast-paced so amongst the chaos that is mum life, work life and well, life-life, prioritising self-care can be challenging for me, and many people in my community. In an ideal world, I know we’d all love to allocate more time to relaxing and recharging those batteries, however it often (and more frequently than I’d like to admit, but my eyebrows will attest to) falls to the bottom of the to-do list.

It's here where priorities can come into play and the magic happens. Take a few minutes to jot down your non-negotiables, and the nice to haves. This will allow you to establish what’s most important to you. So without further ado, here are some of my beauty hacks, tips and must-haves. I hope you find some inspiration, learn something new, and most importantly, set some time aside for you.

DON'T FORGET YOUR SPF
UV rays and sun damage are one of the biggest causes of premature ageing, so protecting your skin with a high quality SPF 50+ is a no brainer. And in no time, it will become part of your daily routine. I promise, you’ll never look back so if you haven’t already, it's time to jump on the sunscreen bandwagon. I personally love Ultra Violette Queen Screen.

PRIORITISE QUALITY SLEEP
Sounds simple right, yet in today’s social media savvy world, it can be a bit of a challenge to stop scrolling or hit pause on the latest episode of Animal Kingdom. But trust me, your future self will thank you. This one is particularly important for those mummas, who could be waking up any moment to your tiny human

A BEAUTY BITE A DAY
Will keep those fine lines at bay. Just one Beauty Bite per day is clinically proven to increase skin hydration, improves skin elasticity + firmness, help combat the signs of ageing, support digestive health, strengthen hair and nails.

SILK PILLOWCASE
You’ve likely seen them all over your Instagram, it seems like every second person is using one and with good reason. Protecting your skin from creasing whilst minimising hair breakage and frizziness too. It’s a win-win if you ask me!

WALK IN THE FRESH AIR
A daily dose of Vitamin D and some fresh air is key. So pop outside for a beach walk with the fam, or a quick whizz around the block on your own, it will leave you feeling refreshed, and re-energised and get those endorphins flowing.

ELEVATE YOUR HYDRATION
Hydration plays an important role in optimal skin health and total wellbeing. My goal is to drink a minimum of 2 litres of water daily; this can be in the form of water, tea or a Collagen Elixir. A great way to elevate your water intake is by infusing it with lemon, cucumber or mint. This is simple self-care and a non-negotiable for me, all year round.

REMOVE YOUR MAKEUP
This is definitely non-negotiable, regardless of how tired I’m feeling. We all know it honestly only takes a few minutes and your skin will thank you for it. So give your tired self that pep talk, or ask your partner to.

SIMPLIFY YOUR SKINCARE
Simplicity is key when it comes to skincare, especially now I’m a mother. Time is a luxury that many of us don’t have, so committing to a simple routine will not only support your overall beauty and wellbeing goals, but also allow you to prioritise other things to fill up your cup.

FOCUS ON GUT HEALTH
The gut is made up of trillions of bacteria, fungi and other microbes and an imbalance in the intestines can contribute to an array of health conditions and disorders. Gut should be an important focus for everyone, as beauty begins within. Grab a Beauty Bite as they contain both Prebiotics and Probiotics, which are essential for optimal health and wellbeing.

LUSH LASHES
For a special treat, I absolutely adore getting an eyelash lift. It enhances your natural eyelashes and gives the appearance of longer, curled lashes. You can have your lashes tinted at the same time. It also means I don’t have to worry about mascara, which makes getting ready, with a one year old in tow, the tiniest bit quicker. And if you ask me, that’s a win.

Love,
K xx
