This magnesium chocolate mousse is rich, silky, and secretly good for you. Made with avocado for creaminess and aquafaba for that classic airy texture. It's the kind of no-fuss, no added sugar dessert you can prep ahead and feel good about enjoying, especially as a nourishing chocolate treat before bed.
You will need:
Serves 2
• 2 ripe avocados
• ½ cup aquafaba*
• 3 tbsp Krumbled Foods Magnesium Hot Chocolate**
• 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• Pinch of sea salt
• 40g Krumbled Foods No Added Sugar Milk Chocolate Buttons, melted
How to make it:

In a clean bowl, whisk aquafaba with a pinch of salt until soft peaks form. This replaces egg whites and creates the mousse’s light texture.

In a blender or food processor, combine avocado, Magnesium Hot Chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla and melted chocolate. Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.

Gently fold the whipped aquafaba into the chocolate mixture in 2–3 additions. Use a spatula and a light hand to keep the mousse airy.

Spoon into ramekins or glasses and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set and fluffy.
What is Aquafaba?
*Aquafaba is the liquid from a can of chickpeas (or the leftover cooking water if you make them from scratch). It whips up just like egg whites, creating fluffy peaks that give mousse, meringues and cakes their airy texture. To make it, simply drain a can of chickpeas and reserve the liquid. Chill it for best results before whipping.
